I believe the best portraits should feel like you — not stiff, forced, or like something you’ve seen a hundred times before. Whether I’m photographing a senior stepping into their next chapter, an athlete in their element, or a family simply being themselves, I want to create something that feels personal, powerful, and worth holding onto.

Phoenix Designs Photography grew from a simple idea: portraits should be more than a record of what someone looked like at a particular moment. They should capture something about who they are.
My approach is shaped by years of working with people in every kind of situation. I’ve spent much of my life in the fire and EMS service, where trust, connection, and paying attention to the person in front of you matter. I bring those same attributes behind the camera.
I love dramatic light, bold ideas, a little smoke when the moment calls for it, and creating portraits that have some edge. But underneath all of that, the goal is simple: make people comfortable enough to be themselves and create something that feels unmistakably theirs.
